Hongkong Post is the postal department of Hong Kong. It was established in 1841 and is now a department under the Hong Kong Government Commerce and Economic Development Bureau. Since 1995, it has been converted to operating as a trading fund. The department’s income comes from the sale of special stamps, postal services, express mail (EMS) (note: express mail is also called government express) services, payment services (government departments and public utilities), etc. Hongkong Post also provides e-Certs for Hong Kong people.

Currently, Hongkong Post has 125 post offices. The postbox in Hong Kong is mainly green and the color of the column base is purple, but before the transfer of

Hong Kong's sovereignty, the color of the column base is black, and part of it is accompanied by the emblem of the British monarch.

The Post Office was originally subordinate to the Economic Development and Labor Bureau, and was transferred to the newly established Bureau of Commerce and Economic Development after the reorganization of the policy bureau on July 1, 2007.
